Commercial Kitchen Success

A Sweet Start: Our First Test Run and First Sale!

This week marked a big milestone for The Classic Luxury Cheesecake Company—our very first test run in the new commercial kitchen was a success! After a lot of preparation, planning, and anticipation, it was incredible to see everything come together so smoothly.

A Great Test Run

From the moment we stepped into the kitchen, the atmosphere was electric with excitement (and the delicious aroma of cheesecake batter!). Our goal for this test run was simple: to see how well we could translate our small-batch recipes into a larger-scale operation.

We’re thrilled to report that the equipment worked beautifully, and the process was seamless. Each cheesecake came out as rich, creamy, and decadent as we’d hoped. Seeing the golden crusts and perfectly set tops emerge from the oven was an incredibly rewarding moment.

A Moment to Celebrate: Our First Sale!

As if a successful test run wasn’t exciting enough, we also made our very first sale! A customer purchased four slices of cheesecake topped with our fresh, vibrant strawberry sauce. While I didn’t get to see their first bite (since I delivered it to their home at no extra cost), knowing that they chose to make us part of their dessert experience was an unforgettable moment.

Lessons Learned

Of course, no test run is complete without learning a few things along the way. Here are some of the takeaways from this week:

  • Double-check your supplies list. (Yes, forgetting the tinfoil happened—but I won’t make that mistake twice!)
  • Adaptability is key. Even when things don’t go as planned, staying flexible can make all the difference.
  • Every detail matters. From organizing ingredients to timing the bakes, every small step contributes to a flawless final product.

These lessons have only made me more excited to grow and improve, so I can deliver the best cheesecakes possible to all of you.

Looking Ahead

With this successful test run behind us, I’m thrilled to announce that our first official Horton Market date will be December 7th. I can’t wait to meet the community, share slices of indulgence, and hear what you think of our creations.

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out our menu online and follow us on social media for updates and sneak peeks of what’s to come.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far—you’re the reason I can turn this dream into reality.

Stay sweet,
Jeff Butler
